Stained Glass Cleaning & Care

SOLDER AND CAME (BORDERS) CONTAIN LEAD.

Be sure to wash your hands after handling.  As an additional precaution, keep stained glass beyond the reach of your young ones!

CLEANING YOUR PIECE

I wash your panel multiple times before polishing and packing it, but sometimes bits of chemical may remain and, over time, result in a white "crust" along lead lines.  If this is the case, I apologize! You can get rid of this by gently scrubbing it with the green side of a sponge, or with a dry toothbrush (that, for obvious reasons, you don't plan to use again).

To dust your piece, use a dry cotton cloth, paper towel, or microfiber.  If there's dust gathered along a lead line, you may choose (though don't have to!) go at that with a pointed dowel or exacto blade.  Just be aware that anything too sharp runs the risk of scratching/scuffing your piece, particularly the lead lines.

Avoid using harsh chemicals and products such as windex on your piece!
